The Story
The dream of Mauricio & Dennise Soler began in 2005 when their family acquired a 5.0 acre property in the heart of Valle de Guadalupe. Family owned and operated, Symmetria was officially launched with the 2014 harvest.
However, well before the launch, aspiring winemaker Mauricio Soler envisioned a plan to interject his future label with new ideas and a fresh approach. Bucking conventional wisdom and studying enology locally, he instead chose to pursue a degree in Enology and Viticulture from U.C. Fresno.
Upon graduating, Mauricio put his education to work and gained valuable hands-on experience at a variety of wineries including Artesa Winery (cellar worker/lab technician), Roederer Estate (Enologist/Asst. Winemaker), Maui Winery (Winemaker) and Longoria Winery (Associate Winemaker).
After paying his dues in the U.S., he was ready to come back to El Valle and apply all that he had learned. Today, Mauricio and Symmetria are on an impressive list of “Wineries/Winemakers To Watch”.
