DISCOGRAFICA
The Story
Discográfica is a highly technical, creatively driven winery founded by Alberto Rubio Padilla, whose primary mission is to introduce his own distinctive wine labels to the global market and, subsequently, to collaborate with others through bespoke winemaking services.
Operating as a dynamic incubator for custom crush and collaborative projects, Discográfica merges Rubio’s artistic vision with state-of-the-art vinification capabilities.
Alberto Rubio has over two decades of experience as an enological consultant, contributing to renowned wineries such as Mogor Badán, Viñedos Malagón, La Trinidad, and Bodegas F. Rubio. At Discográfica, he combines that technical mastery with creative freedom, guiding clients through tailored vinification and collaborative co-creations beyond his own label portfolio.()
In the United States, Alberto's wines are marketed under the "Acordeón" label, while in Mexico, they are known as "Fluxus". This dual branding strategy reflects the winery's international reach and adaptability to different markets.
Discográfica’s proprietary labels and collaborative wine projects have earned notable recognition—Fluxus Tinto(integrated into the broader vision of Discográfica) was awarded Mexico’s Best Grenache by Catadores magazine for two consecutive years, and Ballena Tinta has been featured in Forbes for its Nebbiolo excellence.
These wines appear on the wine lists of Mexico’s most prestigious restaurants—including Pujol, Máximo Bistrot, Quintonil, Martínez, Muelle 3, and La Conchería—reinforcing their culinary prestige and technical finesse.
Alberto envisions Discográfica not only as a vessel for his own artistic expression but as a collaborative studio where emerging winemakers and hospitality professionals can develop signature wines under his technical guidance and visionary approach.
