San Juan de la Vaquería

At an altitude of 1,850 meters above sea level, its climate is semi-arid; with reddish soils derived from limestone, this is what made of San Juan de la Vaquería, an ideal place for the cultivation of the grape. The elaboration and aging processes in French oak barrels give character to our wines, allowing them the opportunity to be an “expression of the earth.”

Winemaker Gerardo Jose Aguirre Lobo
Gerardo Jose Aguirre Lobo, graduated from ITESM Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico.  And followed that with a masters in Enology and Viticulture from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.  He worked the harvest in Chile at Vinos VIK, then followed that with a stint at Bodega Cerron in Jumilla, Spain.  Subsequently spent time working at Bodega Pago de Vallegarcía in Montes de Toledo, Spain.  Gerardo brought his knowledge and experience back to the winery to work alongside Gerardo Aguirre Flores. Since then, he has become part of our history while ensuring the highest quality of wine with each bottle he produces.
